What To Bring

Comprehensive packing lists for your safari adventure and Kilimanjaro climb. Proper preparation ensures a comfortable and memorable experience.

Safari Luggage Guidelines

Most light aircraft have strict luggage limits. We recommend:
  • • Soft-sided duffel bags (no hard suitcases)
  • • Maximum weight: 15-20kg including hand luggage
  • • Pack light and layer clothing

Kilimanjaro Luggage Guidelines

You’ll carry only a daypack during the climb. Porters carry the rest.
  • • Duffel bag for porters: max 15kg
  • • Daypack: 25-35L for daily essentials
  • • We provide a duffel bag for the climb

Clothing (Layering System)

Moisture-wicking base layers (3-4 sets)
Insulating mid-layers (fleece/down)
Waterproof/windproof outer shell jacket
Waterproof pants
Trekking pants (zip-off recommended)
Warm hat/beanie
Sun hat or cap
Neck gaiter/buff
Liner gloves and insulated gloves
Thermal underwear for summit night
Down jacket for summit push

Footwear

Broken-in hiking boots (waterproof, ankle support)
Gaiters (optional but recommended)
Camp shoes or sandals
Wool or synthetic hiking socks (5+ pairs)
Liner socks for blister prevention

Sleeping bag rated to -15°C/5°F
Sleeping pad (for extra warmth)
Headlamp with extra batteries
Trekking poles (highly recommended)
Daypack (25-35L)
Hydration system or water bottles (3L capacity)
Sunglasses (Category 3-4 UV protection)
